What kind of piano can I rent?

First, you choose whether you want to rent an acoustic piano or a digital piano. We always recommend acoustic pianos for beginners, so they can learn to play well right away. If you choose an acoustic piano, you can choose from three models, each with a different height: 109 cm, 112 cm, and 121 cm.

So you have a choice:
1) Acoustic or digital?
2) Which model? 109 cm is only recommended for the very smallest.

The piano will ALWAYS be from a quality brand such as Yamaha or Kawai.

What acoustic piano do I choose?

Accepted Answer

You can choose between a 109cm, 112cm, and 121cm piano. This refers to the height of the piano, and therefore also the soundboard. The 109cm piano is comparable to a Yamaha B1, which is a practice piano for the very youngest, as this piano is also literally smaller – making it less comfortable for taller pianists to play.

The 112cm piano is recommended for any beginner, and is comparable to a Yamaha B2.

The 121 piano is the largest student piano we rent. Ideal for beginners who want to progress quickly or pianists with a little more experience. Comparable to the Yamaha B3.

Question 3

What about transport?

Included in our rental package: FREE transport in Limburg and on the ground floor. We'll deliver the piano to your home free of charge.

What about upstairs delivery?
If you live on the first, second, or other floor, we can still deliver the rental piano to your home. Depending on the situation, there's an additional charge for this. Contact us, and we'll discuss it with you.

Question 4

What is the price of renting a piano?

Accepted Answer

The monthly price = the monthly price. It depends on whether you choose a digital or acoustic piano, and the size if you choose an acoustic.

Let's say you rent a Yamaha B1, which is €660 for a year (€55 per month). Want a piano bench? That's €50 per year. You pay NO deposit or transport costs.

If you choose to pay monthly, an additional €3/month administration fee will be added.

Question 5

How long do I have to rent a piano?

Accepted Answer

You rent the piano for a period of one year. The rental period begins when the piano is delivered to your home and the contract is finalized. At the end of the year, we'll contact you to ask if you'd like to continue renting.

The rental period will not be automatically extended, so you don't have to worry about this.

After one year, you can choose whether to continue renting or not. If you continue renting, the piano will remain at your home and you can optionally schedule a tuning (at a reduced rate of €50). If you wish to cancel, we will pick up the piano free of charge. You can also choose to purchase a new piano, for which you can get a refund of up to two years' rent (excluding VAT).

Can I buy the rented piano?

Accepted Answer

Would you like to purchase your rental piano after a certain period? Depending on the rental period, you'll be able to pay off the remaining balance.

If you already know in advance that you ultimately want to buy, you can also choose our lease-purchase system. With this system, you pay only 25% upfront and 2% of the remaining balance each month. Question 7

Is renting not throwing money away?

Accepted Answer

No! Thanks to our rental plan, renting a piano isn't a waste of money. You get up to two years' rent (for an acoustic piano) back, excluding VAT, when you buy a new piano.
